Love's Innocence

Imagine days long and inviting to love the sun on skin white with loneliness,
running through distant dead woods with abandoned spirits rekindled.

But no one listens to the rain anymore,
and the signs of the daffodils in Spring bear no meaning.

The dream that passes seems so real,
swimming right into your softness.
floating through, a lovely bloom yellow in hand,
floating away on that lonely skin.

Others hold in the way a smile comes from the mouth,
but pass the vastness that eyes maintain within their blue waters.

I know others lost their innocence,
my secret is you are mine.
